We are Ludwig Farmstead Creamery, producers of European style artisan farmstead cheese made in small batches with day-fresh milk from our own Holstein cows. We are a Farmstead Creamery, which means that all of our milk is produced on our farm where our creamery sits. All of the milk our cows produce is used to make our great tasting cheese. We take great care in the raising, handling, and feeding of our cows and in turn they consistently give us the highest quality milk to make our cheese. We are Certified Humane in the raising, handling, and feeding of our cows. Our milk is free of hormones and antibiotics.
The word Artisan refers to a skilled craft worker who makes things by hand. That is just what we do here at the creamery. We take great care in crafting our cheese and then nurturing it through the aging process. The end result is great tasting cheese that makes your taste buds dance!
